Welcome to my site, My name is Gary Lacey and I live on the Isle of Wight England. I have been searching amber and copal for a number of years and wanted to make a site for people who are thinking of taking up this rewarding hobby, giving them an idea of what can be found, techniques I have used, as well as the pros and cons of using different types of equipment as well as the differences between amber and copal. I have not gone into depth on some amber subjects as there are various technical or scientific sites that can be found on the links page or with a quick search. I wanted this to be a site for hobbyists who are not worried about the density, etc of amber but more concerned with how best to polish or view it. Having said that, it is worth paying other sites a visit because they have some very interesting articles on amber and copal for when you get hooked on the hobby and want to increase your knowledge.
